Getting the #2 overall player in the country to come to a school not known for basketball success and coming off an 11 win season is pretty impressive. Should translate better than Orlando Antigua's recruiting at Kentucky

Wasn't able to recruit that type of player when HC at Kennesaw, so we don't know why that player decided to go to Georgia. Huge risk. Yes they were better every year but that's starting from a 1-28 record. There are so many HC coaches with better resumes over a longer period of time. Give me this guy over Bob Richey or anyone who's never rebuilt a program. Taking over a team in a dumpster fire is different than taking over a 20 win team and keeping things going

One win in his first year. 6 wins total in his first two years .Took him 4 years to get his team to a winning record; we cannot afford a slow rebuilt. We need someone who can come in and have our team at .500 next season. Edited March 29, 2023 by belgianbull

Not sure why he would leave New Mexico so quickly, as he seems to have had success there and is similar school. Why do so many out of town journalists (i.e. - Mark Ziegler, etc.) seem to have scoops on our Coaching search and yet our local ones have nothing? The coverage of USF is brutal! I think a week ago I said Richard Pitino and I stand by it!
