Women are one-and-done at AAC Tournament

Losing in the first round of the conference tournament hurts our seeding for the NCAAT, but at the same time it gives this team the chance  to regroup, and to get some rest both physically and mentally. This season will be remembered by how they perform in the NCAAT. They have shown they can beat anybody. I am hoping for us to make it to the sweet sixteen or better. This team is certainly capable of getting it done when it counts.

They played pretty well against UCF, but your overall point stands. They haven't looked like the team from earlier in the season that was competing with the best. 

Part of this could be the short bench and the starters playing so many minutes throughout the year.

It could very well be. We discussed the need for more contributions from others. Priscilla Williams and Maria Alvarez not growing into more stable roles on this team is likely the difference between a Sweet 16 run and a first weekend exit.

I think Maria was more about health - that and the defense thing.
