TAMPA (January 27, 2023) – The No. 25-ranked University of South Florida women's basketball team closes out its two-game swing trip on Saturday when the Bulls face Memphis at Elma Roane Fieldhouse. Game time is slated for 3 p.m. ET and the contest can be seen live on ESPN+ ($). The Bulls are looking for their 10th straight win and their 12th win in their last 14 games.
 
The Bulls, who look for their 11th 20-win season in program history and eighth in the last 11 years, come into Saturday's game 19-4 overall and 8-0 in The American – good enough for first place in the AAC standings.
 
Elena Tsineke is averaging a conference-best 17.4 points per game on the year and leads three players on the Bulls' roster in double figures after her 21-point effort at Tulsa on Wednesday, her second-straight 21-point outing. Dulcy Fankam Mendjiadeu is not that far off the pace dropping in 16.7 points per game and 12.5 rebounds per outing, with her rebounding average tops in the conference. She is coming off an impressive 25-point, 15-rebound performance against the Golden Hurricane, and comes into the game against the Tigers with 991 career rebounds during her time with Memphis and the Bulls. Sammie Puisis rounds out the double-digit scorers netting 15.9 points per contest.
 
Memphis comes into its game against the Bulls with a 12-8 record and a 4-3 mark in The American following its 61-53 win at East Carolina on Wednesday. The Tigers have won three straight and four of their last five games.
 
Jamirah Shutes is one of two players on the Memphis roster averaging in double figures, netting 14.7 points per game. She is joined by Madison Griggs, averaging 12.6 points per outing. Emani Jefferson falls just shy averaging 9.2 points per contest.
 
Hannah Riddick leads the Tigers on the glass, grabbing 6.1 rebounds per contest.
 
Following their game at Memphis, the Bulls will return to the Yuengling Center for two out of their next three games, beginning on Jan. 31 when they take on East Carolina at 7 p.m. (ESPN+) for Team Tykes Night. South Florida will also face Houston at home, on Feb. 12 (2 p.m. ESPN2) during the three-game stretch
 
The Bulls' lone road game during that time will be at SMU on Feb. 4 at 3 p.m. ET (ESPN+).

South Florida Players to Watch

Elena Tsineke paces the South Florida's scoring effort, averaging 17.5 points per game. Aerial Wilson is the team's top passer, dishing out 4.5 assists to go with 1.6 points per game. The Bulls' leading rebounder is Fankam Mendjiadeu, who pulls down 12.4 boards per game in addition to averaging 16.6 points.Sammie Puisis has been the top shooter for South Florida from downtown. Tseinke doing her thing, Puisis with a 3 and Dulcy is within 10 rebounds for 1000 in her career. Based on her average of 10+ rebounds per game, she should accomplish 1000 today. Turnovers are NOT a problem through the 1st. I haven't checked, but I don't think we had any.
