Even though UCF remained winless under O'Leary, who took over in 2004, just playing the Bulls was a victory of sorts for the Golden Knights .

Fans and alumni of the Orlando school had been pushing for a series between the teams ever since South Florida launched its program from scratch eight years ago, arguing that it made sense because of the proximity of the campuses and the prospect of drawing large crowds each year.

The Bulls resisted the overtures, preferring to focus on trying to build a program to rival those at Florida, Florida State and Miami rather than pursuing a more modest goal of catching up with UCF, which began its program in 1979.

SALES are looking great, but I fear the actual attendance will be spotty.  I would guess the student 2nd level corners will not be filled along with about a 1/4 of the donor seats between the 20's and the WVU sections.  Scalpers will have a field day buying all the unused tickets for $5 and selling them for $20.

is that really scalping?  the minimum face value on any ticket is $20, doesn't scalping imply raising the ticket price over face value?

Well the game NOT being on tv will encourage more to go and being Homecoming will get more to attend. Im sure some will not go but thats part of life their loss.

I have a gut feeling it will be electric at RJS and our team might feed from it and come up with a big win.

That's not scalping - okay let's call them ticket brokers.  Anyhow, it seems this year for the first time our Bulls are worthy of the brokers roaming the parking lots becasue there is a market for Bulls tickets.  In past years, they never bothered with USF games.
