I am feeling underwhelmed. Little buzz or talk from media who the coach is.  We usually know before the announcement.

I am concerned as well but you never know until the Ink is signed. The next coach will be the second most important coach in usf history. They have to rebuild the winning culture and atmosphere Leavitt built the foundation for and the program destroyed.

I think it will be Jamey Chadwell, of Coastal Carolina, who would be an excellent pick.

Chadwell's time as interim coach of the Chanticleers five years ago "was the worst year of my life," but it helped create one the best programs in the Group of 5.

That is a great article. Makes him sound rather Leavitt-like!

Assuming he's the guy I'm trying to be optimistic about the hire.  Seth is a football coach and covers both UF and USF and is very high on Chadwell.  He also did a film room recently and highlighted the CCU offense.  He feels that offense with USF personnel would kill it.  Take it for what its worth.

I feel like those people who predict the world to end at a certain date and then nothing happens

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”
