This program needs a “lifer” someone that loves the area and the school so much, that they would not want to leave. And what if that lifer looks like Jeff Scott? I wonder why some of these guys aren’t content making a couple of million a year and winning games in the G5. I guess they all have egos big enough to think they’ll win a natty. Realistically Frost nor Taggart were never going to win a natty. Egos? They want to play for the schools that made them excited about the sport and profession they hopefully love. It’s no different than someone relentlessly pursuing their dream job or profession. Not everyone wants to be complacent! Screw complacency! Freaking problem with people these days.

But MOST SCHOOLS have two choices ... Get a coach who is a lifer, which often means mixed results... or Get a coach who can win championships, which often means they'll be moving to a new school for more money. I've seen it in the big corporate world as well. Some really big falls...
