For all the people with the pitch forks and wanting the current coaching staff fired the OCS will help attract good coaches in the long run. So either argument the OCS is needed.

There isn’t a single person on earth that would factor an OCS into their employment decisions, not one. People that fail however will look around for what they don’t have an hang on to those excuses for dear life because the other option is to admit you are the failure.

Interesting, at the end of the OCS discussion, Weatherford asked someone to look into whether Athletics should be structured as a Direct Support Organization, which apparently many other schools' Athletics depts have done.  I just briefly skimmed it but this is an article on DSO's from a few years back when FSU did the same https://www.si.com/college/2019/06/11/florida-state-athletics-department-direct-support-organization

Wouldn't surprise me to see this happen.  It's not like the university doesn't have any DSO's already.  The operations of the Yuengling Center is already a DSO.

Joe FN Madden left the dull atmosphere of the Trop because he fell in love with the atmosphere of Wrigley Field. Taggart wanted an OCS. We have many other examples to list.

Is this some kind of joke? Is Matt Baker trolling?

think thats a general item as the board is going to approve the final negotiations with the design firm in 2-3 weeks (not message board rumor, they mentioned it specifically in the meeting today)

assessing feasibility will still be done in the design phase for each individual idea even though the stadium is happening

He be trolling....  They've selected a design/build architect/contractor and are beginning to negotiate a contract to begin design.  Although, technically, I guess they could continue to assess feasibility right up until construction starts.

‘Feasibility’ has become a triggering word to me through all this.

True.  We know we want gold plated cupholders already.

Of course.  How could we watch football without those?
