why put a black eye on the situation should we win the game?

The guys will head to the end zone and be happy to greet you down there-- THAT'S HOW IT WORKS THESE DAYS.

Besides-- this isn't about you having fun at a game-- it's about the team accomplishing something. This action is about as necessary as someone cutting in on the father of the bride during his dance with his daughter.

If the students were smart, they would quietly move to the sideline seats and rush the field from the side, all the tsa goons congregate in the endzone near the student section.

You know what whodabulls... If I could make it cross country to jump the stands, I would take the 1st taser for you. Inside my wallet is a AAA bail bonds card. As long as it isn't for a major traffic offense... after my little jolt, I'll be ready to walk a free man. Don't let the party poopers scare you. This isn't a once and a lifetime event. The norm will be winning championships here. But for the 1st, you gotta make a statement.  You goto jail that night, call me and I'll bail you out.

I see some are now encouraging this behavior, even offering bail money.

That's a shame--- do we need to rush the field to show ESPN and the Bowl committees we are a special team? Isn't what we do on the field enough?

Hell-- if we blow out WVU (unlikely-- but bear with me), is it really important to destroy a defenseless goal post that never said a disparaging word about USF? Hell-- I clearly remember it blocking a field goal this year for us against Louisville-- AND THIS IS HOW WE REPAY IT?

That goal post deserves better-- leave it alone. puhlease!

I just talked to the Goal Post-- it is not happy and quite distraught. It forecasts lots of bad kicking game karma for years to come if we do not abide by it's request for shelter from attack.

You know-- that post swayed ever so slightly to the right during the Southern Miss game, resulting in a win for USF.

It's a good post-- it's seen lots of football, almost all of USF's home games.

No respect for tradition-- that post has been good to us. No-- GREAT TO USF. It deserves to be left out of this massive assault by the very fans it tries to protect from wayward kicks.

It has served us diligently. The last thing it wants to to have to crush someone trying to defend itself.

Terry-- you've never been more wrong in your life. This goal post deserves our respect. I just don't know what we would do without it and the cost to replace it may prohibit us from painting the field.

oh well-- no stopping the rogues we call students.

No goal posts coming down. Don't be destructive like another well know school has a reputation for. Rush the field yes, goal posts no. Let's celebrate but not be destructive. (Like a well known school from West Virginia is. Not saying who, specifically, but it is a well known University in W, VA.)  ;D   Reaper
