South Florida dominated the first meeting this season in Tampa, 75-51. Thursday's contest wraps up a two-game road trip for the Bulls who will play five of their next six games at home beginning on Monday, February 7 against Temple. That game marks the start of a six-game stretch in 13 days as USF's February schedule is backloaded with rescheduled games. The Bulls are looking to record their first War On I-4 win in Orlando since February 5, 2014 (79-78 OT) and a series sweep over the Knights for the first time since the 1999-2000 campaign. In the last matchup with UCF in January, USF dominated the glass, 53-26, including a season-high 21 offensive boards which translated into 25 second-chance points. Javon Greene paced the Bulls with 19 points in that meeting on 5-10 shooting from downtown. He also pulled down nine rebounds. Byron Matos (9) and Corey Walker Jr. (7) each recorded season highs in rebounds while Jamir Chaplin matched a career high with eight boards. Chaplin (10) and Caleb Murphy (13) scored in double figures as well. Chaplin is averaging 12.5 points per game over his last eight ballgames while Jalyn McCreary is shooting 66 percent over his last seven. Murphy (12.1) and Greene (10.0) continue to be the Bulls leading scorers. USF enters the game ranked 54th in the NCAA in scoring defense (64.2 ppg) while the Knights come into play averaging 71.4 ppg on offense. The Knights' 51 points scored against South Florida in January are their second-fewest on the year while USF's 75-point output is its highest in conference play to date.
