UAB-SDSU was a battle of the behemoths.

It will all depend on how many schools the ACC loses. Yeah they’ve been “proactive” because they lost 5 schools and replaced them with much lesser institutions. Yet, somehow the ACC is perceived to be on deaths door. Makes no sense.

It turns out the AAC really wasn’t good at basketball this year and while we overachieved we also didn’t deserve NCAAT. The prognosticators were right to only project 1-2 teams from the AAC it turns out. if we win 20+ games next year again we’re in, but this was a down/transitional year for the conference. It’s readily apparent unless you’re purely a USF homer.

What doesn't make sense to me is why FAU got in over us... They were clearly overrated, losing to a tired Temple team and now out in the first round of the NCAAT. The AAC should be a 2-3 bid league, but the wrong team got sent, because of some recent name recognition from last year.

Cat941 Posted March 22 Group: Member Topic Count: 79 Content Count: 3,002 Reputation: 824 Days Won: 2 Joined: 07/28/2023 Share Posted March 22 Who in the ACC could leave in conference expansion & join the Big Ten? RUTGERSWIRE.USATODAY.COM A look at six ACC programs that could be in line to join the Big Ten. Miami: The natural landing spot in conference expansion is the Big Ten Why it makes sense: The Big Ten’s top target in the next round of conference expansion – it begins with Miami. Joining the AAU last year is the final part of the resume for Miami. They bring a top 20 market and a national brand in football that is impossible to ignore. In fact, Miami’s football following is probably top-five in terms of a national brand. They’ve also had success in men’s basketball in recent years, another selling point. But it is the eyeballs, particularly in south Florida, that makes Miami so intriguing for the Big Ten. The breakdown: There isn’t any reason for Miami to not be considered for the Big Ten. If the ACC falls apart, then Miami would be a market and following the Big Ten would like to add. Also, gaining a foothold in south Florida for recruiting is a nice plus. Why it makes sense: In almost every way, North Carolina is a fit in the Big Ten. Football and basketball are strong programs. They have a national fanbase in basketball. They are located in a good spot in terms of the markets they would bring in. An AAU member, like Duke there is seemingly a good fit here between North Carolina and the Big Ten. The breakdown: And like Duke, would North Carolina actually leave the ACC and potentially break up their rivalry with Duke and NC State?

Let's schedule some Big XII and SEC games for some easy POWER WINS.

That last sentence is funny, Would Duke and North Carolina potentially break up up their rivalry with North Carolina State? Of course they would. Who wouldn't?
