No, becauce we are not going independent. 

But the idea that we could survive as an independent in today's landscape is wild. Anyone asking for it simply doesn't understand how that would destroy us.

I agree that independence would be a bad option. For one it would make week to week games less important since a conference championship would never be on the line. Second it would decrease our chance of going to the playoffs since we would never be a highest ranked group of five conference champion. Many other reasons as well as to why it would be a bad idea. Being in the AAC is not ideal but it beats being an independent.

Asking for immunity so he doesn't get fired in a few months after signing a new contract doesn't mean he isn't presumed innocent. It means he doesn't want to be fired as a result of investigations and the decisions of a board of trustees.
