If we get to a power conference just because of aau status I will be shocked.

Although there's a better chance of that than getting into one the next couple of years just because of football, there'll be no getting in this go round just because of any one thing whenever it does happen ...

It won't be JUST because ... but it is clearly a plus.

If it even gets mentioned by our new conference, I'll make sure to dunk on the haters.

Hell yeah!  Can’t wait to see USF hoops match up against Cuse again!  Can’t wait to see USF hoops take on the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. USF hoops will be set

Part of me wonders if the lack of stadium details has to do with conference affiliation.

We have $350m to spend.

$350m can buy a really nice 35,000 seat stadium, but it can also buy a decent 45,000 seat stadium. Where we trade in some bells and whistles for more capacity.

Could it be that they don't want to show all the bells and whistles of the 35,000 seat stadium, because it may never get built, and they don't want people disappointed with the 45,000 seat version.

(this is all from inside my head, and not me leaking sourced info, so just me wondering out loud)

Wow I like this theory. It makes sense.

I didn't think this much into it but I have been theorizing that it has to do with the seat capacity. I would have to imagine that's a huge commitment, I know it can be expanded if needed but that takes more time and money

I think we will be going for quality no matter what.

I'm not saying it will be low quality. But I also don't think there is any scenario where they have more money to spend, so if we needed a bigger stadium, I don't think we can just throw another 100 million onto the total.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
