That said, I don't think it hurt USF...at all.  If anything it gave them free publicity into document and I bet a lot more Big 12 eyes looked at it and the video than would have.  Basically this is one of those any publicity is good publicity.  The actual content and video was fantastic.  If the typo got a few more eyes to look at it, then great.  No one is going to keep USF out of Big 12 from a misplaced "a" in one word.

 

Sure, Joey didn't do anything wrong - he just didn't do the right thing. IMO, he could have just used a little professional courtesy. I think that would have gone a long way in him establishing a better rapport with the organization he's reporting on.

That being said, I think your second paragraph above is right on.
