I wouldn't get too worked up. There is zero chance that this is the only correspondence they've had.  This is likley just a formality and it was released just to give some clear evidence that communication is ongoing.  Any REAL talks would likely be covered by an NDA at this point (in effect if not in actuality) so I'm not sure what people were expecting.

I'm holding out hope that there's more going on behind scenes, but the logical side of me says it is what it is.

Guys, it would be unbelievable to conclude that this one letter is everything.  In the real world decisions are made based upon meetings and conversations, not letters expressing a desire to meet.  

By the way, I sent JK a tweet YESTERDAY asking him whether his Ch. 119 public records requests with the university have turned up anything.  Coincidence?

Even if that is the case, which I disagree with, I still think the metrics that matter get us in, why insult the fan base with a poorly written/ugly letter.  If this was released to appease people why in the world you not provide a better product?

This letter is just a formality... USF will make a formal presentation, in person, sometime in the next few weeks. The same as about 10 other schools.
