Really? When was the last time we had a coach who had never coached a game? Twenty years ago? And when was the last time we inflated our Spring Game attendance numbers?

The crap like this part is. We have fudged our attendance numbers. Mostly all other teams do it too. Just sayin'

You do understand we're talking about Spring Game attendance numbers, right? Fudging regular season numbers a time honored college football tradition but Spring Game numbers .......  ?? This is not helping the rapidly growing suspicion that you're part of the Kanigit sleeper cell.

Regardless of who gets in,  Texas and OU (and their little brothers) bolt the next chance they get.

This is feeling a lot like the BE.  The minute we get an invite is the minute the established programs decide they want to move on.

Thought exercise - How long do you think Texas will share a league with UCF or Memphis?

You are so annoyingly crotchety. It's no wonder the site activity on this board has been going downhill over the past 5 years. Grow up old man. Someone saying "crap like this" is a vague statement. We shouldn't throw rocks at anyone fibbing about their attendance numbers. We've been called out on it numerous times. Don't try to pretend.

The options are important to consider. The SEC and PAC and Big 10  are going to stretch the revenue gap a good bit each of the next 5 years. The ACC network partner who owns the right to the network, has shelved it. Thus, the ACC in my mind, once they see the SEC jump forward in $$$$, will be as wiggly as the Big 12, especially since most of the revenue/TV ratings are being driven by one school...FSU.

Many more blocks to tumble and be partially reassembled in my opinion.

I would add Clemson with FSU.

Just an FYI, the attendance numbers for the UCF spring game included those participating in their spring festival. Not just those attending the game. So that was a poor example from the start. :backtotopic:

I agree with this. I'm guessing there's a lost of conference shuffling to come.

Yep, you are correct, but at the 5000 to 1000 ft level, asking peeps around the country, FSU has the highest level association as being the big dog name in the ACC. Football drives it all, but B ball ( except recently) and baseball have been rock solid as well for the Noles... in my opinion.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
