I don't think the SEC cares, but I think the Aggies would love to force the sips to have to play a championship game.

You are basically reinforcing my point by saying the SEC doesn't care. I'm saying the same thing, but I say it's because they haven't had a reason to yet. Wait until they get shut out of the NC game and the 10-member B12 has someone in it.

If the B12 has someone in the NC game that means they had to beat a supposed top 4 team to get there and those inbred rednecks shouldn't say a word about that ...
I agree with you both, but I think an SEC team is likely to always make the playoff. SEC may actually get two teams in there from time to time. I think the ACC and big 10 and PAC 12 will be more likely to throw a fit if a big12 champion makes it into the playoff and one of their teams does not because the team lost the conf championship game to a team that wont make the playoff. The SEC conf champ will probably always be in the playoff. Edited by Gismo

Come on. The SEC isn't getting raided. Their next TV deal is estimated to give each of their schools 30-40 mil a year...no one is walking away from that.

The Big 10 is on equal footing right now, raking in the dough.  If you are Vandy, would you rather be in a conference with high quality academic institutions or the SEC if the money is more or less equal?  A conference that you might actually be able to compete for a title once in a while, or a conference you continually get your brains beat in?

A no brainer, you bolt in a heartbeat.  The reality is that you won't need to spend as much money to complete in the B1G, so your net monies are probably better.

Not happening. I'd put my house on it. The SEC makes too much money and will always make too much money. Vandy isn't jumping off that ship.

LOL at anyone jumping ship from the SEC. Not happening. These rumors are coming from people who became twitter famous during the realignment boom who are quickly becoming irrelevant as realignment winds down. These guys haven't been close on anything in months as they desperately throw stuff against the wall hoping it sticks so they can try to parlay this sudden notoriety into a legit job in sports media.

The CIC is bigger than football for a few schools, IF invited (very big IF) Mizzou and Vandy would make that move for a few million less a year for football in B1G than SEC versus tens of millions of research dollars a year. The other one that would make sense would be Fla but to far away. If its just about football I agree in B1G case it's not all about football. Rutgers is the biggest winner of all this realignment.

Also I have stated for months Big 5 will be playing stipends of $5-10k to $25k a year, it's coming and this time for real people connected to system.

Again I have stated Big 12 is looking at 12 but money has to be added to schools and right now adding $65mil a year gets Boise/BYU in football only or USF and UCF/Cincy on a permanent unequal basis.

Permanent inequality will lead to more conference drama down the road, but it is still the best option, a win win for everyone involved. But in ten years there will probably be a fuss.

But in 10 years in years in Big 12 make USF as valuable as others schools, IMO yes. $65 mil for just football additions of BYU and Boise St makes sense to me everyone existing gets another $5 mil ($50 mil) and $15 is split between the 2. This also works with 2 AAC teams on permanent unequal. For everyone to get $5 mil and 2 AAC teams to get $25 each anfter entry fees like WVU& TCU it would need $100 mil more just for tiers 1&2. Remember everyone keeps there tier 3 rights.

You and your ilk haven't been close on anything in months, you guys have also had several "done deals" that never came to fruition. Please keep lobbing those turds at the wall though.
