Anyone know what this is about? Saw some students were making petitions.

Whatever or if anything can be built there, it would have to account for significant wetland and several endangered species habitats there. That'll be quite tough to do and turn a profit. I think there's legs to Hillsborough County buying this property and smacking a conservation easement on it.

Extend the university that direction.  It's crazy to not develop that in a growing city.  I think it is all the land from the golf course to the river park if I remember correctly.   I thought there were some original stipulations that the golf course was all that could be built on it originally.
