Malzahn?   He knows about the "rivalry".    And it wouldn't surprise me if he reached out to Bentley in part because he knew we were talking to him.   I just don't see how that is a **** move.

I agree with your last part, I’m not worried about it because we only want someone who wants to be here.  Let it play out.
