I was starting to worry I was giving off a bad impression of myself on here...

Hey @Mizzou... long time no see. We'll still agree to disagree on the Leavitt fiasco with Joel Miller (RIP). However I would agree that Leavitt deserves another head coaching gig (as he's been held in the assistant coaching clink way to long for the coaching acumen he possesses). Hope things are going well for you and the family... and remember... vote Trump/Pence in 2020. On a good note from some of us stinging from the STD known as Notre Dame, "Mizzery" won't be having any company from USF fans this evening as the powers that be cancelled the FAU game. Missouri opening with Alabama spells for an all around bad evening for you.

If you only knew what really went down with Woolard, then Genshaft going along with it, you would be enraged like me.  With these false accusations, Jim was forever stained in the hiring environment of the last few years and branded forever as an abuser.  It's truly sad how Woolard destroyed a once in a lifetime miracle that was happening at USF and it's even sadder that Genshaft allowed it to happen.

And I just wanted to point out Notorious RBG is Stone Cold D-E-A-D.  She was an accomplished woman and made great advances for women in the field of Law, but she should have never been appointed to the Supreme Court because she was notoriously biased and political.  She should have instead been a US Senator so she could pass legislate rather than legislate from the Bench.  I think turnabout is fair play, though, so Trump should appoint a Justice who is just as political and biased as RBG was.

Missouri Fans are still scratching their heads how we drew two short sticks when the SEC was choosing the two out of division teams for each school to play.  Somehow, Missouri drew both Alabama and Georgia.  **** the luck!

Woolard is gone, clowned face Genshaft is gone, the Jim is gone, Joel Miller is gone, **** is in the ancient past, can’t undo it so we move on, not sure what the fascination is with this topic because the ship has sailed.  Agree on RBG, we just need to appoint someone to interpret the law as designed, no need for bias, that is the left’s game.  Most of us are as unhappy as you with the way things went down but eventually we have to let it go, the topic is tired.

In some respect, if everything played out as such (and I'm friends with Brett McMurphy - he'll swear to his dying breath that Joel got ***** slapped by Leavitt), Leavitt should not be hired as a head coach. If even a little bit of it is false, he should be running a program.

I spoke with some former players from that team years ago and they said Jim did hit Joel. However like me, they weren't fond of Jim at the time - so they could very well care more about Joel. Most players liked their teammates more than Jim during my playing days. They'd run through a wall for Jim, however he wasn't someone on their Christmas card list. I tend to like Jim more now because I'm 20 years wiser from when he was coaching me. I hated him then. I understand the bigger picture now and the role I played (such a minimal role at that). His main goal was getting the best out of everyone on his roster - and his ways of doing it didn't sit well with many who played for him - but it makes sense to me now and I can't fault him for his methods. It's funny how age allows us to see situations in a different light.

I guess a slap, punch, or choke by a coach used to not be that big a deal and it is a shame that it cost him his job.  We used to fight in school, the teachers would take us out to the hallway and paddle us and then we would get sent home for Dad to tune us up for good measure.  Every good coach that I have ever had, I hated while I played for them but later grew to appreciate them.

BM is a lying POS and had an ax to grind.  BM blamed Leavitt for him getting fired from his job with the Tampa Bay Times.  Woolard had never been AD before at a university with a football program and greatly disliked how a coach was the center of the media's attention instead of himself.  Woolard saw an opportunity to smear Leavitt in order to fire him for cause so he would not have to payout his contract.  The whole episode was about Woolard's ego and money.

Simple question:  Whose version do you believe, an FBI Agent or Joel Miller?  It's just that simple.

Except it never happened.  Don't you find it odd no one ever asked Leavitt for his side of the story?  Not Woolward, not Genshaft and not the sham investigator.

Amen brother! Preach.

And that is why USF deserves to be regarded as a patsy for a scheduled win...

3. A lot went wrong for the Bulls

As you'd expect, when a team loses a game 52-0, it wasn't just one thing that went wrong for the Bulls. The offense was mostly ineffective, finishing with 231 yards on 3.7 yards per play. Defensively, as noted above, they couldn't do much to stop the Irish offense. Notre Dame only punted once in the game, and that was with its third-string QB in the game.

And then there were special teams, which was an absolute nightmare for the Bulls. USF punter Trent Schneider began his day with a 20-yard shank, and things only got worse from there. Later in the game, a snap went over his head, and while Schneider was able to get the kick off, it didn't go anywhere. Later, another snap went over Schneider's head, and he once again got to the ball and got a kick off. Unfortunately, this time he wasn't lucky enough to get more than a foot to the ball as the punt was blocked and recovered in the end zone for a Notre Dame touchdown.
