  1. Hey, Tripp... I just saw your invite for coffee the next time I'm back up north. Thanks, I'd like that. I couldn't tell you back in February why I was traveling through your area, but I guess it's OK to now...I was moving Jim from Boca to Dallas. I finally get him at a school with a stadium that is less than 10 minutes from my house and he up and changes jobs moving 1,300 miles away. Well, it will pay off because SMU is about to explode on the national football scene.
  2. Poor Jeff Scott is the one locked in a dumpster with a raging fire.
  3. It's hard to throw away and conceal the truth when I was the first to be be absolutely right all along. Your latest football fiasco does not stand isolated alone. It's just an extension and continuation of your sins from 13 years ago. USF's rapid tailspin and nosedive into the depths of College Football Hell has been an interesting lesson in what it takes for a team to be a consistent winner.
  4. What was unbelievable to me is there is talk of bringing USF into the Big 12. I couldn't believe these people were actually in reality, but then I got to thinking, every league needs a doormat team, so the good teams will have at least one scheduled win during the conference schedule.
  5. I was relishing the win. I can't believe Leavit let USF score 17 points.
  6. Hey Trip...I thought about you last week as I was driving up I-75 and I saw the Temple Terrace exit signs.
  7. Because I've always been a thorn in Trips' side and he can't get rid of me.
  8. And...If the dog hadn't stopped to take a dump he would have caught the rabbit... No, Reiter was talented enough for a more established football school, but Leavitt and his coaches convinced him to stay home. Then he got Skippy, but overcame the mistake.
  9. Leavitt has the rare ability to identify young talent and persuade them to come to him. Too bad Reiter had to endure such mediocre (at best) college football. Maybe if USF had a better football program he would have gone higher than the seventh round in the draft and wouldn't have bounced around the League so much.
  10. Actually, Reiter was recruited by Leavitt. Reiter then had the misfortune to be stuck with Skip as a coach.
  11. Geez...I just axed you a simple sports question and you got your panties in a twist. Since I am Missouri born and bred and have close ties to Kansas City, I definitely want the Chiefs to win. The only way the Bucs can win is JPP contains Maholmes. Brady and the Bucs cannot outscore him.
  12. Actually, it was Leavitt who recommended Stoops to Taggart.
  13. Right now on Southwest, NS fares from DAL to TPA are $49.
  14. Which player will actually have more impact on today's Super Bowl?
  15. I guess it doesn't matter USF was just embarrassed by Notre Dame? 10 years later USF will continue to pay the price.
  16. It's a revolving door when you start the cycle of firing and hiring coaches. Look how long it has taken SMU to even get moderately successful once they were killed by sanctions. Woolard and Genshart trashed the USF program putting it into a tailspin that continues to this day. In another 3 or 4 years Scott will be fired and the clock will be reset...Wash, rinse, repeat...
  17. And that is why USF deserves to be regarded as a patsy for a scheduled win... 3. A lot went wrong for the Bulls As you'd expect, when a team loses a game 52-0, it wasn't just one thing that went wrong for the Bulls. The offense was mostly ineffective, finishing with 231 yards on 3.7 yards per play. Defensively, as noted above, they couldn't do much to stop the Irish offense. Notre Dame only punted once in the game, and that was with its third-string QB in the game. And then there were special teams, which was an absolute nightmare for the Bulls. USF punter Trent Schneider began his day with a 20-yard shank, and things only got worse from there. Later in the game, a snap went over his head, and while Schneider was able to get the kick off, it didn't go anywhere. Later, another snap went over Schneider's head, and he once again got to the ball and got a kick off. Unfortunately, this time he wasn't lucky enough to get more than a foot to the ball as the punt was blocked and recovered in the end zone for a Notre Dame touchdown.
  18. Except it never happened. Don't you find it odd no one ever asked Leavitt for his side of the story? Not Woolward, not Genshaft and not the sham investigator.
  19. BM is a lying POS and had an ax to grind. BM blamed Leavitt for him getting fired from his job with the Tampa Bay Times. Woolard had never been AD before at a university with a football program and greatly disliked how a coach was the center of the media's attention instead of himself. Woolard saw an opportunity to smear Leavitt in order to fire him for cause so he would not have to payout his contract. The whole episode was about Woolard's ego and money. Simple question: Whose version do you believe, an FBI Agent or Joel Miller? It's just that simple.
  20. If you only knew what really went down with Woolard, then Genshaft going along with it, you would be enraged like me. With these false accusations, Jim was forever stained in the hiring environment of the last few years and branded forever as an abuser. It's truly sad how Woolard destroyed a once in a lifetime miracle that was happening at USF and it's even sadder that Genshaft allowed it to happen. And I just wanted to point out Notorious RBG is Stone Cold D-E-A-D. She was an accomplished woman and made great advances for women in the field of Law, but she should have never been appointed to the Supreme Court because she was notoriously biased and political. She should have instead been a US Senator so she could pass legislate rather than legislate from the Bench. I think turnabout is fair play, though, so Trump should appoint a Justice who is just as political and biased as RBG was. Missouri Fans are still scratching their heads how we drew two short sticks when the SEC was choosing the two out of division teams for each school to play. Somehow, Missouri drew both Alabama and Georgia. **** the luck!
