bf4life is correct.

making the NIT would be astronomical considering all the newcomers on the team.

we'll take some major lumps i'm sure... but i don't think we'll finish 16th.

I gotta ask you Velcro "What makes you think we won't finish last ?"  I love my Bulls BB but no way do I see us doing anything but that unless we have a huge amount of luck and other BE teams near the bottom have a large number of injuries.

its called coaching... i believe in Mac's ability to coach.  He'll win some games.  He did it last year, he'll do it this year.  Not every team in the big east is Syracuse caliber, although there are a bunch.

Here is my prediction for this year:

I love your pick Cyber.

I feel a lot better after last year's end of season run, and hearing that Solomon Jones has put on 25lbs of muscle.  I finally believe that Coach Mac is a good coach, and seeing guys like Curry, Thomas, and Jones expecting to arrive next year gives me hope for the future.  Land Mayfield, and I can start seeing consistent post-season play in our future.

How true is the starting 5 that this guy has listed for us? Anyone else bothered by the fact that 3 of the 5 starters are 6'2" and shorter?! If that is the case, we are going to get flat out killed on the boards and in the paint.

i wouldn't go too much by that... it will be up in the air until the first game and will probably evolve after that.

I am not worried about having a short lineup... in fact, that may be to our advantage.  Our guards aren't short... just our forwards.

If we have a 3 guard set, we can do what Villanova did successfully last year and create mismatches.

I am worried about rebounding, but with Jones bigger, and the group of 6'6 and 6'7 guys rotating in... i think that will take some of the pressure off of Jones and Frane.

Mattis is supposedly a very good rebounder at the swing position.

As long as our guys crash the offensive boards from 4 of the 5 positions, i think we'll be 'ok' in that category.

Realistically, I would be ecstatic if we even qualified for the Big East Tourney at MSG.

I'm not too sure about you guys, but I surely don't see James Holmes starting at shooting guard. I'd rather see Dennis and Sills in the back court, with Buckley playing SF, Jones at C, and maybe Melvyn Richardson at PF.

I see Dennis NOT being a point guard at all... and that is a good thing.

Howard and Sills will split time there, with dennis/holmes at the 2.

Buckley could play the 2, 3 or 4, depending on the set ( if we go small or big)

MR definitely at the 4.  Jones at 5, with Frane helping out.

Holmes will get his playing time.  I think you'll see many 3 guard sets.  So you may see 3 out of these four - Dennis/Howard/Sills/Holmes - on the court at the same time.
