I'm concerned that Sails doesn't have even a basic grasp of Florida geography. Or maybe he's trying to convince the kid to go to Miami?

Not sure I follow.  He does have other state offers, but he's strongly looking at UM.

When I said "UM", I should have said "Michigan".  I think he was referring to him not going there and staying "home" to play for USF, not Miami.

I guess I wouldn't tweet at a kid who lives in Pensacola and had offers from FSU and USF and tell him "to stay home" meaning to come to Tampa. Just like I wouldn't tell a kid who lives 20 miles from Miami and has an offer from University of Miami to stay home, when I really mean pick a school that's 275 miles away.

Again, the key was, as I mentioned in the OP, that services had him 100% going to an out-of-state school.  The "stay home" was to keep him in the state, and the "Go Bulls" meant to pick USF over the Miami offer.

Maybe he thinks USF means we're in South Florida. We did have South Beach inspired uniforms a few years ago.
