You could just schedule UCF for 12 games   ;D

What ever you did that night sure as hell worked (much to my dismay)

Dont you guys have anything better to talk about, cause this is getting downright pathetic...We cant afford anyone else, and why cant you guys just trust or just plain listen to our Head Coach... CARLTON HILL IS NOT READY YET! What do you guys not understand about that?? Are you guys at practice everyday, how do you know that these guys can do any better?? I know it wouldnt take much, but he wants Grothe to have another year for a reason, not a bright move to put him in for a series and waste it away. We have 2 weeks to play, can we find something better to talk about cause according to you guys Smith vs LVille=Great, Smith vs Pitt=Fired... You guys need to stop getting on and off the wagon...

It is just amazing how everyone here has all the answers.  I feel honored to be posting on the same board.  Maybe I'll give Jimmy a call so he can come here and read about how to coach a football team and hire assistent coaches.

If CJL allows the alumni to have ANY  influence on who he plays, he should be gone ............... unless it's a 'Rudy' type situation.  ;)

Leavitt needs to hire a real OC, give him full reigns to hire and fire.  And someone that's seasoned and cagy.  It won't happen but it would be nice.

Bien (or anyone),

How about Carl Franks?  Does he have OC experience?  I've got to think he would be a step up from Rod Smith.

I like Franks, but the beef about him becoming the OC this year was because he prefers to run a more conservative packaged offense, and Hobbie left after the spring so it would have been difficult to teach these guys that offense in the fall only.  Also, he doubles as the recruiting coordinator which takes up lots of time.   He did help Spurrier run his offense at UF, and he had his own offense during his 6 years at Duke.

In hindsight I think it might have been wiser to move him over.   His system our players could have adapted to, and knowing that we would have had a three week break in the middle of the season we could have worked at implementing.

If Rod Smith is a good offensive coach wouldnt you think UWV would have tried to keep him around?
