Maybe all Fire Coach! threads can be merged into one spot.

They might want to dedicate a sub-board for those threads. It would be hopping all the time unfortunately

I was kind of surprised to see Durr on Gardner most of the night but he did a decent job even though Gardner still got his 19 points .... and him fouling out was I think a huge factor in OT.

DC gonna do DC things with his WOW and WTF moments ....... hopefully more WOW ones the rest of his time here.

17 OREB's is probably a good equalizer to poor shooting ...

Gardner's 19 were "quiet" .  He seemed to get hot mid to later 2nd half and I thought we were in trouble for a minute.  His fouling out was huge in OT, even getting the 4th a little earlier.

We also dominated at the FT line to go with the OREB's

I will wait on pins and needles for Bry’s in depth analysis following this huge win

His beating of the drum of CBG cannot coach this team to any close down to the wire games because he coaches "scared" will have to wait until at least the next game which is Sunday.  So we get a reprieve!

It was fun to watch and we did a good job on Gardner.   At moments Durr looked like a stud, but other times ......  And if I never see DC take the ball to the hoop it will be too soon

I don't know how we can shoot as poorly as we do, but they do play hard and the defense overall is good.

Next year

consistency in everything separates the pretenders from the contenders

True.  And Consistency with this team has been severely lacking this year.  Thats why we are pretenders not contenders.

Good to see us win a hard fought game though.  Hoping we finish strong, but the last 3 games are pretty good teams so we will see.

Indeed wait till next year!

Rideau's dagger at the end off of Casteneda's drive was a **** fine set play against that zone.

I'd say we've been remarkably consistent.  Play hard always, play good, tenacious defense most of the time, and shoot terrible.

It's amazing how much better schemes look when plays are finished ........ and how ****** the ones look that aren't, like the one at the end of regulation.

Well that's true for the most part, but the play down the stretch at crunch time has been very inconsistent (mostly on the bad side unfortunately).

Awfully quiet in here. I need some in depth analysis on the sets and how we got to this victory.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
