I'm glad you admit the idealism in your post.  The problem is, you're never going to know if someone is using you as a stepping stone or not, but even if a coach admitted that he was doing that when he was hired, you can't turn them away based on that.  That would be foolish.  Any time you can get a talented, up-and-coming coach such as CWT when he was hired, you do it.  Even if you think they may leave one day.   You never turn down talent. 

The key for USF is having an AD in place who can be trusted to make good hires and write university-friendly contracts.

You aint getting CJL back.  And thats a good thing.
