The people want CJL

This would definitely bring excitement back. Unfortunately it won't happen for a number of reasons

At one point, we had a guy walk up the aisle with a poster saying Get Back on the Bus with a Willy picture.

Retread complete and utter failure from a major program that has made enough money that anything we can give him will not make it worth his time and has spent most of his career failing but people still think they may have it because they had one or two years of success with a generational QB, what could go wrong? I think I have seen this movie before and it ends badly for us.

I would absolutely love for Leavitt to return. It is so unlikely its not reasonable to hope for that.

Never Taggart again. He didn't give a **** about USF and made no bones about it.

Ideally we find a young, idealistic position coach or coordinator who is willing to stay whether he succeeds or fails for the longterm and becomes the face of the program (read: who Leavitt was when first hired).

Leavitt's peak was in 2007 - more than ten years ago.

The game might have passed him by as well.

Let's look to the future not to the past.

I don't quite get this line of thinking. You don't care if they succeed or fail just that they are loyal??

I'm sure Strong will stay (and lose) as long as possible for $2.5M per year.......

give me a young energetic coach who is ambitious and leaves us in a better spot for a new job than a loyal loser any day.

I think it is funny that the Oracle is already referring to CCS in the past tense.

"It’s just unfortunate it didn’t work out."
