Mack Brown is an elite recruiter at a Power 5 school. Unc has a nice campus. However, I don't see this guy as being a major blow. There are far better players out there than him at this point.

So without this, you’re saying UNC would be ranked even higher academically?

Perhaps. A quick look at US News has UNC ranked 30th with their methodology. Not too shabby.
