I was disappointed when he was hired as OC however CJL may have made the right choice after all.  I believe now that we were holding back for the first 3 games.  Tonight he proved to me that he can devise some plays.  Although the run  opened everything up, he threw some curveballs that caught L'ville completely offguard.

Amarri Jackson.  Man what a weapon.

As I am not totally sold on one player with one game, not sold on Smith as OC ... but BULLieve he called a great game. L'ville was very much off balance all night defensively.

Our O-Line was dominating at times and played a great game.

Also, regarding coaching ... I think Barnhardt may have a paying coaching job next season. He may be part of the reason PJ is playing well. He was calm out there as Chad was back in the day.

Beastie, you're right.  After the PSU game, we didn't have any nice words for Smith, but I gotta give credit where credit is due.  His play calling was great, because our stats weren't that great.

Go Bulls, Beat 'Canes!

If only others were as forthcoming as beastiebull...smazza has taken to hiding like South_Tampa_Knight and ought to be happy his team won, even if it means shifting support to the guy in charge.

The season isn't over yet. Although Smith called an excellent game, I'm still not sure whether he's the kind of OC that can take us to the next level.

Were at the next level ya dumb yankee ;D  Don't you know it's amazing how good coaching, is knowing when to call certain plays. Smith called plays that the birds defense gave him ( being in man to man ect)and the players carried it out. But the real thing is that he knows the Bulls weak (Julmiste for instance) and strong points and is able to reconize opposing teams weaknese etc and is using that to the Bulls advantage. That is what I call being a good coordinator. The man has done nothing but good but the second the the bulls lose a game or a player screws up a play then ROD SMITH and or Leavitt  becomes the vocal point to the crybaby nit picking bunch that can't be satisfied by beating the 8th best team in the nation or the other two blow out wins  Some of yuh are beginning to sound like the 4-0 nit fans that want joe pa fired for not winning big enough. >:(

Well, this "dumb yankee" still won't be convinced until the end of the season. Just being real about it. Keep taking it one game at a time.

Loving some of that KFC--Kentucky Fried Cardinal. Do you think Sebastian the Ibis will taste just as good?

i am right here bulliever

the bulls are easy to beat

stop the run and force julmiste to pass

our defense and hall have been outstanding

pj made some dumb plays and throws but we were so far ahead it didn't hurt us.

have no fear he will not let us down

i hope we didn't hold anything back at psu.

didnt we go to win?

ucf and 1aa victories meant little

beating louisville to a pulp was impressive

i have seen enough of rod smith's work. i will stand by my prior opinions.

amari jackson is a great player that can make bad coaches look  good

tbull- miami is another level above louisville

the coaches and players did have their best game against louisville and i salute them for that but i wouldn't be so quick to hand out bonuses and contract extensions quite yet
