As a glutton for punishment, I decided to watch the Bucs today - it is the first NFL game that I had watched in a few weeks

I saw some revolutionary plays that I had forgotten were still part of modern football

Things like:

Pitch plays leading to RB sweeps

RB checkdown passes

RB shovel passes

WR crossing patterns

WR post routes

WR flag routes

I had no idea that offenses could execute these schemes

I hear they also have guys that are smaller and quicker than D linemen, but bigger and more stout than defensive backs. Not sure what you call those guys, but it seems like they help in run defense though.

It may be one thing to be responsible for the elastic texture of dough and upset people's digestive system (gluten) and quite another to be a glutton (excessive greed) for punishment.

I’m a Bills fan, and despite how bad their offense is, I’m seeing the same thing the OP is.

I have heard of those guys too - seems they wear numbers in the mid-50s, come in three-packs and tend to lead teams in tackles

Maybe Wal-Mart will have a few as Black Friday Door Buster Deals and CCS can pickup a few just in time for Christmas

Yeah, the Redskins did a pretty good job of that

So did the Bucs ... inside the 20 yard lines.  Most prolific passing offense in the NFL since the Greatest Show on Turf, and they only score 3 points, and have a 3-6 record.  smh

It was a failed attempt at a joke.   But the OP is suggesting that we model after a team that has as many if not more issues that USF does.

Doesn't mean I can't bring a dose of reality in response.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
