If you watched Thursday Night Football you saw the debacle that is the AZ Cardinals.

The radio yahoos were talking about the freshly fired OC Mike McCoy and how he ran David Johnson up the middle on 59% of his carries this season and how all teams knew it was coming and suffocated it.

Two years ago when Johnson ran wild as a rookie, he ran up the gut on only 39% of his carries.  The league average is about 49%.

the numbers might be similar but the results are not. No losses for one (however we got there). The number of times that run resulted in a touchdown - and a very long TD at that. The overall rushing totals in general.

not that I think this is a great offensive mind at work-- just that the similarities are sort of apple and orange on the results side.
