We're not looking like a tournament team. 1-2 punch is legit. Lineup looks like it can score some runs, but consistency is a problem. Bullpen is going to be the make or break.

We have work to do, but it's a little early to throw in the towel on the tournament

We're right about where we should be for this team at this point. I'd have liked us to win the Jacksonville game, but otherwise, none of our losses have been shocking. Offense, overall, looks good. But we've had a few clunkers in there. 1-2 starters are going to keep us in any series, but that Sunday starter is shaky right now, to say the least and Perez hasn't been terribly sharp to start the year.

Probably going to be 14-8 going into AAC play when we open with UConn.

The games I've been to the defense is shaky, especially infield.  Villar can hit the ball but makes every ball hit to 3rd an adventure. Coco didn't play SS yesterday and the young guy didn't impress. 2nd base seems to be fairly steady but not spectacular in the games I've seen.

Was that Feist or Hoffman at SS yesterday?

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
