Horne remains priority for ECU as early signing day approaches

...Horne told Hoist The Colours heading into the weekend his final two schools of choice were ECU and South Florida. He officially visited ECU for its home game against Cincinnati in mid-November, and just made the trip to Tampa to see the Bulls' campus over the weekend...

...South Florida recently just got involved with Horne and fellow ECU target Johnny Ford, also from the Miami area...

Miramar speedster Terrence Horne announces early signing with USF | Video 

Speedy Miramar receiver and track star Terrence Horne made an Early Signing Period announcement on Wednesday that he is bound for USF...

Horne is coming off a senior season at Miramar where he earned first-team All-Broward honors for leading the Patriots in receiving with 738 yards and 12 touchdowns on 34 receptions.

The Bulls got Horne’s final visit the weekend before the Early Signing Period. He also visited East Carolina on Nov. 17 and took in-season West Coast trips to check out Arizona State and Oregon.

 

“Being close to home [was a determing factor], and I went on a visit this weekend. It felt like family,” Horne said.

After winning a Class 6A state title as a junior at Miami Carol City, Horne transferred to Miramar to help the Patriots go 8-1 in the regular season and earn their first district title since 2013.

But before that, he excelled as a sprinter for Miramar during track season in the spring, where he also was a first-team All-Broward selection. He ran a personal-best 10.29 in the 100 at the Region 4-4A championships to then finish as the Class 4A runner-up at the state meet as the Patriots won a team title.

Horne accepted a football scholarship with the Bulls, but will also run track.

 

“I plan on trying to go to the NFL and the 2020 Olympics,” Horne said.

Looking back on this...not much hoopla, but possibly a star in the making.

Keep returning kicks like that and "momma ain't gonna have to pay for a thing." He has a chance to be a KR in the pros if he can mimic any kind of success like he had against GT. HE reminds me a lot of Jeff Demps that played at UF.
