Won’t prove any media wrong if we won the conference. The committee has already decided our conference is bad when an undefeated team is #18 and a 1 loss team is unranked. They could care less who wins our conference as they never will sniff the top 10 let alone the top 4.

All that talk about running up the score did not age well.

Biggest head scratcher for me is Clemson.... they should not be no. 4. Something is really fishy there, must be some kind of quid pro quo.

Isn’t Clemson AD on the committee?

Yes ... was just going to point that out and wonder why all the vitriol to the OSU AD but none to the Clemson AD.

Committee members have to recuse themselves from voting for their affiliated school.

"A recused member shall not participate in any votes involving the team from which the individual is recused."

See 13. Recusal Policy:

Maybe from voting, but not politicking and the person's on the committee.  If you, screw them, they might screw you when your team comes up.  Also, you're not recused if it's for another team in your conference.

I understand the possible pitfalls with their recusal policy.

There are some other recusal guidelines set out there, but they don't cover everything.

FWIW, I'm just pointing out that they aren't allowed to vote for their own team, in case some people here didn't know.

Even so, it is obviously a rigged system.

Bottom line is that AD's, current and former team coaches shouldn't be on the selection committee. The fact that they are gives the impression of bias whether there is or isn't. We all know there is just by looking at the polls and comparing them.

Espin and the Money5 is written all over the CFP poll.
