There are many mid level Hilton properties near UCF. My favorite value is the Hilton Garden Inn, because of the made to order Bfast bar, but that may not be all that important to others. The UCF Double tree is not only the UCF team hotel, but the hotel visiting teas use, so o any given day, it is full with visiting AAC teams, playing other sports. Therooms there are smallish, but the Bfast there, is good, not all world, but good/ If you have specific questions, ask away. Downtown is also OK, I would avoid I drive, but that increases the options. This will allow you to do some shopping: https://www.expedia.com/University-Of-Central-Florida-Orlando-Hotels.0-n6060195-0.Travel-Guide-Filter-Hotels?regionId=6060195&langid=1033&kword=ZzZz.4810000056930.b9548410-ffbe-4cdf-82a6-d607d6eb5815&semcid=us.ub.google.dl-c-en.hotel&semdtl=a1970499239.b150895599729.d1230062138757.e1c.f11t1.g1kwd-305644208595.h1b.i1.j19012046.k1.l1g.m1.n1&gclid=CjwKCAjwhOvPBRBxEiwAx2nhLgu1fMmkJwzOXDlOZ0eN5tyLg9YFehyssIY2cum94bT_7tqXGLGn3BoCJxMQAvD_BwE

Staying Downtown will be more expensive and require more driving on gameday but is great for bar hopping. The UCF area would be cheaper and is more of suburban setup but you still have solid options to eat/drink pre and post game(Bar Louie, World of Beer). Knight Library, Stagger Inn, & Knights Pub are the bars most current students go to. If you decide to stay by UCF and want to do minimal driving the DoubleTree UCF/Eeast Orlando is the best bet. If you decide to stay Downtown I'd recommend the Embassy Suites on Pine Street.

I'd definitely stay Downtown. The UCF Area will be a little more dead than usual If the teams played this weekend for example there would be way more of an atmosphere on the East side of town. If you're talking about the night before the game, unless they have a loss before then, what in the hell is there to smack talk about?? About what you're ABOUT to do to their wimps on the field. Smack talk in advance is far superior to smack talk after the game. If we lose, it's just sour grapes, if we win, it's vain boasting. No sir, proper smack talk is done BEFORE the event, not after.
