I meant the OTHER Tom Jones, but yes, the one you're referring to is definitely a jerk. Which is why I don't click on anything he writes or listen to his podcast (although Rick Stroud is OK).

When I retire from my current job in about 20 years, I'll get back into sports writing (my daughter should be done playing softball or hockey in college by then). I miss it to be honest... actually discussed working for the Tampa Tribune back in 1999 with Brett McMurphy while a student at USF prior to walking on to the football team. I was previously a sportswriter for a newspaper in the early '90s while living in Northern Virginia prior to joining the military. I wouldn't mind being the Bianchi for USF at that point in time. It would be a great honor to cover USF athletics daily... I do envy Collin Sherwin at times. He found himself a great gig.
