Just cancel football until the stadium is built.  Shut this board down too.  See you guys on the other side.

Best idea I've heard yet.

Deuteronomy 25: 11-12

"When two men are fighting and the wife of one intervenes to save her husband from the blows of his opponent, if she stretches out her hand and seizes the other by the genitals, you shall chop off her hand. Show no pity."

Just something to keep in mind.

Rayjay's is recorded, not real, right?

Rutgers has a real cannon, not so interested in doing what they do...

If we worry about what other schools are doing, we will not get anywhere.  Rutgers started college football, so we are following in their footsteps whether we like it or not.

Rutgers uses a revolutionary war cannon, fired by guys dressed up in revolutionary costumes if I'm not mistaken.  I'm talking about a military type cannon fired by members or our military and even military alumni.  It would be a great way to get military members involved with each game.

All joking aside,  these traditions are needed now more than when we have an OCS.

Fair enough.  Just don't expect them to take hold / work.

I would love this.  It's been discussed for years.  But USF doesn't have an ag department, so you would need an alum/ fan to care and transport the bull to the game.

I think the team should start winning Conference Championships, that's a tradition I could get behind.

The Bucs already do that and so does Rutgers so I do not like the idea personally.

On a side note what ever happened to those painted and bedazzled towel wearing students?  They used to run around the stadium at the end of the game high fiving everyone.

I guess the towel guys graduated and moved on.  I think it turned into all those guys and girls all painted up in the front row of the student section.  It seems like all the stuff they try now is so forced.  I think they just throw stuff out there to see if it sticks.

Here's what the USF Traditions web site shows as one of our traditions.  I do remember these guys but don't believe I've seen them for years.  Not sure if they ran around the stadium along with the Beef Studs or not - probably did.  The dudes in the photo are probably in their upper thirties by now!  Maybe wizard man is hoping to get his spot on this page.  The Beef Studs have certainly maintained their presence over the years and should be the highlighted subject of the photo on the web page instead of these guys by now.

Green and Gold Guys

greenandgoldguys.jpgThe Green and Gold Guys and their painted bodies first appeared in 2000 as a crazy spirit idea of two freshman students. The Green and Gold guys are at all home football and basketball games and even make road game appearances. In 2003 a second painted group of students, calling themselves The Beef Studs, also took to USF spirit duty.
