Cincy celebrates Big East Day

This is huge for USF and I would hope that we would be doing something to ring in the new era.

Since we're only about 2 weeks out, it would be nice to know what we are planning.

It would also be nice to find out if the papers will be doing something special (special section, etc.).

well if you dont announce it till the last minute and dont properly promoted then not many will come out. I am afraid that we are still in the very basic learning stages when we try to promote events. Just putting it on our web site and sending a letter is NOT enough at this point in time for our university. There needs to be more promotion and more calls etc reminding the fans about events.

If this doesn't get advertised adequately and have much thought/preparation put into it, I'd rather they just do nothing.  

Some things that would be cool:

In the new Big East Conference room,

1) Have a fully uniformed athlete from each team represented with the new Big East logo.

2) Big East balloons, logo-shaped cake cut by Doug, Lee Roy and Judy.

3) Display of the new athletic facility layout.  A model of it would be even better.

3a) A stadium be somewher on that model.

4) Big East Commissioner or representative presenting the new logo.

5) Announcement of a new contract for Ken Eriksen.

Ricky, you need to add to that model of the athletic fields, your new 25,000 seat baseball stadium, your new indoor track facility, your new indoor football facility, your new retractable roof stadium and everything else you can dream up. ;D
