true...for when you ask your gal to marry her, but want her to let you date other women up to your wedding day (with the understanding that the suitor will pay for all dates!).

But yeah, keeps his options open for nearly 18 months, and he likely wants to take some OVs paid for by other colleges (hard to say no to free mini-vacations).
