I just made room reservations...trying to decide if I'm flying to State College, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia or Baltimore....frankly, Baltimore is winning right now between flight prices and similar driving distances from Philly and Pitt.  Let me know if you have insight.

Also..made the room reservations at the Ramada Conference Center...any tips?  It looks like part of the contingency from USF is at the Ramada...assume it's the same one.

I'm there... Flying into DC or BWI from Phoenix, then stealing my dad's car for the night and driving to Happy Valley...

USAirways flies to BWI for $170 round trip and AirTran has a non-stop for $184.  Mapquest shows a 3 hr 48 min drive.

If you can leave on Thursday, USA3000 has a $166 round trip from St. Pete/Clearwater airport to Pittsburgh with a 3 hr 36 min drive.

Anyone get closer with a comparable or better airfare?

I'm driving in from Detroit on Friday evening, headed back Sunday afternoon.  The wife and I are staying at the Comfort Suites right around the corner from the campus, and bringing bikes with to ride to the game.

I might be moving to the Northeast in August.  If I do, I'll definitely be going.

Flying to Pitt Fri night then renting a car & driving to state college

staying fri night at the Residence Inn State College

after the game driving back to pitt

sunday going to the cubs vs pirates game

flying home on Monday

I'm in with several of my friends and family from Ohio and Pennsylvania.  Should be a lot of fun.

Where is everyone staying?

Also, can someone please tell me how to get tickets.

I might go, depending on if we can get tickets from a Penn St. Alum who usually doesn't go to the games.

Of course, I'll have to represent us in hostile terriory. :D

this is the response i received from usf

You can order tickets by calling our office at (813) 974-4223.  We do not have the seat locations at this time.  Tickets are $48 each.
