If the numbers to the left of the players' name are some sort of ranking, shouldn't Joaquin be kicking this guy's butt?

No.

Those are seeding numbers.

Joaco #1 WAGR played with Braden #3 WAGR the first two rounds in stroke play.

They ended up playing again based on their finish in stroke play.

Braden is the current NCAA Champion.

 

Joaco is now one down thru 13.
