SID is not Marketing Director... Veit was as close as we had to a marketing director, but that isn't what an SID does.

Veit's title is "associate AD for marketing and business development." He and Jim Louk have both had marketing as part of their jobs, but now USF will have someone working exclusively on marketing. Marketing is still a big part of Veit's job, especially with football and other big sports, and Louk will handle ticket sales and radio contracts, as well as continuing as the radio voice for many Bulls broadcasts.

Funny....

I remember some blowhard UCFers guaranteeing that Carlton Hill would NEVER make it on campus. Of course that was right after they said USF would never pull him away from Miami.

If Notre Dame plays 3 Big East teams each season, USF has a 37.5% chance of being one of those teams... and given that it would appear that Notre Dame will play 4 teams every two years (two home and home, and one each year in the Meadowlans), USF has a 50% chance of being one of those teams in 2009 and 2010.

Of course, Syracuse, U Conn, Rutgers, and maybe Pitt make the most sense for playing at the Meadowlands... could make for an interesting schedule for USF.
