I'm going to go to the WVU-USF game. This will be my first trip to Tampa.

Can anyone recommend a good hotel to stay at in the Tampa area?

My uncle lives in Clearwater and I have a "friend" in Largo. I'd like to stay near a nice beach but still be relatively close to Ray Jay. Also, I want to go out Saturday night after the game.

Any ideas?

Thanks

RJS is easily accessible from Clearwater beach (less than 30 minute drive time).  Not sure what your price range is so I'd suggest looking online for the best deal.  I'd agree with the info rtwvutampa posted in the thread on your scout.com board.

There is plenty to do in Tampa on a saturday night.  Look at the Channelside area near the Ice Palace and downtown.  From there, you can take a trolley to Ybor City for all the bars/clubs you can handle.

Go to this link

http://p070.ezboard.com/fpricelineandexpediabiddingtampaclearwaterstpetersburg

and you'll see what people are paying on priceline for hotels in the bay area.  The Grand Hyatt for one is close to Clearwater and RayJay.

After looking you can try your luck on Priceline if you like gambling a bit to save some cash.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino...just don't get excited about the Casino part...bingo/slots style only and some poker.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
