Operative word "think". It was just my impression from other fans & TBP--didn't sound like our pitching was expected to be as good...talent-wise. But I don't follow baseball that closely TBPH, so if it's a bad impression it's bad.

Believe we had the #5 recruiting class in the country a couple of years ago so, yes, we should have some talent.

It appears that way. Four solid teams in the conference.

Not quite sure how the ranking system works in Baseball, but why are we not a top 25 team right now?

Technically, because not enough folks have cast their ballots for us.

Why have they not done this? You ask?

Because we have a pile of wins over piles of poop.

Our RPI dropped from 26 to 41 by stomping Nova because they're so awful. SOS matters

March 22nd is going to be a huge opportunity to show everyone what type of team we really have. On the road against what is looking like a strong FGCU club.

Because we're 13 games into a 50+ game regular season schedule. At this point, it would be like week 3 of the football season and we're 2-0. All the teams that started in the top 25 are sticking around until the season matures and we keep up the pace and/or they fall off.

"For me, I never considered it that way (as a stepping stone), honestly. When I was offered the head job at South Florida, and I'm sincere about this, I never thought I would ever go anywhere."

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22
