Regularly playing against elite competition is a better way to improve your skills than playing against inferior competition. As they say, can't be the best unless you beat the best.

He's just a miserable guy on this Board. I'm not the most optimistic but our friend, who refuses to meet up, just has nothing good to say (or rarely).  Still haven't met anyone from the Board that I don't get along with when we meet.  But don't understand why he won't come up and say Hi. Even invited him to a bourbon party one year.

I'm guessing (hoping?) it's just an act, that he's putting on a different persona here as an enjoyable diversion to his everyday cheerful self...

I believe he's a good guy.  I know I come off as a negative guy on here although I have been trying to change that. But no one that I ask in the Hardwood Club fesses up to being on here.

You are correct thinking back. In may have been Hawaii but not out of the country.
