This is not Frank's type of offense which is the reason for the intrepedation by both parties.  Not so much that maybe we don't want Franks, or the offense but whether Frank can easily execute at this juncture.

Just because someone is on a staff doesn't mean they're all on board.  Franks is accustom, and prefers more pro-sets not the five WR, spreads.  Therefore he wouldn't expect to be the primary focus in the search effort.

Also, in recent history the job of recruiting coordinator on most teams has become far more prestigious.  Franks is our RC, and let me tell you that it would be next to impossible for him to be Offensive Coordinator and RC and RB coach.  If we're forced to make him OC we'd need a new RB coach, TE coach, and probably a RC.    If you ask me the loss of Franks as RC would be more damaging then his gain as Offensive Coordinator!
