It's not close to the biggest individual accolade a player here has ever won. There's a middle between what I'm saying and what you're saying. A consensus all-American is light years ahead of this. For one thing, it's actually one of the most prestigious appointments a student athlete can have. This isn't anything anyone outside of USF heard of this year. That's just one example. P.S. There's a reason Flowers isn't a consensus all-American. He's not there yet. Is an Academy award of higher standing than a Saturn award for the same? Awards are entirely based on status. That usually mean who knows about it. Suddenly valuing this award because one of our players won it is just being a homer. Proud to be a homer, cause at least I know I'm ... A BULL!!!!!! If you don't have green & gold glasses on when you're looking through this thread, why bother unless you just need to get your troll on? The award is real and meaningful, therefore YEAH!! We've had ONE consensus All American in our history - George Selvie in 07 - and we were pretty proud of him at the time. But maybe you were the one back then saying that a CAA award wasn't important, perhaps? (IMO, QF is light years ahead of Selvie in terms of contributing to their teams' successes, but that's a different convo entirely.) http://www.winsipedia.com/south-florida So even by your own logic, unless you have a lot more examples of awards that "aren't even close to" QF's award, your logic has failed

We've never sniffed them either. I didn't intend to come to this thread and troll. I also didn't expect to see inane chatter about this being so amazing. When I read the headline I said to myself, "Sounds cool. Nice previous winners, I wonder why it's not more known. What's wrong with It?" I don't think this is an invalid position.
