Andre Hall Heisman hopeful

Recommended Posts

Guest S.  Bien

Better athlete yes, but better decision maker remains questionable.  Even on the team, there are probably other people better suited for QB play.

Watching Julmiste mow people down on scrambles makes me wonder if we're not misusing him at this point.

Definitely misusing, and I don't know if decision making is as much in question as just pure inability.  Quite often last year PJ made the right decision just the wrong delivery.   A few decent throws and our fortunes might have been different.

Hightech, that's one of the most tactiest and ridiculous posts I've read, but coming from you it's expected.   PJ's not even of legal drinking age, and therefore to me he's still quite a 'kid' as you presumably are as well.   However, many teammates, and coaches think highly of the kid's work ethic, attitude, and skills- maybe his skills aren't perfect for QB but he is a positive influence on this team nonetheless.  SO, no one's fluffing the kid, just reminding some of the more classless to lay-off a bit.  There's constructive criticism and down right rude, and insensitive comments.  Some border on the latter on this board when mentioning PJ.

Look at this CFN list.  It doesn't have Andre Hall in 21-100.  I wonder if Pete Fuitak is the smart one and came to his senses and is putting Andre Hall in the top 20!  Being in a BCS conference, and a top 5 returning rushing and all-purpose yards leader that's where he should be!  In fact, of the three unmentioned guys not on Fuitak's list that are in the top 5 of returning rushing leaders one is DeAngelo Williams (def top 20) the other is Adrian Peterson (def top 10), and for all-purpose just add in reggie Bush (def top 5).  SO, Andre Hall **** well better be in Fuitak's top 20 or we need an e-mail campaign.

Right now NFLDraftscout has Andre a 6th round pick, but one of only two RB's on their list predicted to move up.

FYI

By Pete Fiutak | Fiu's No. 81 - 100 | 61 - 80 | 41 - 60 | 21 - 40 | Cirminiello's No. 1 through 20

One quick note as we continue; this is not, repeat not my listing of the 100 best players going into the 2005 season. This is my list of the 100 players on a watch list for the Heisman. Therefore, there aren't any offensive linemen, few defensive players, and is almost all going to be quarterbacks and running backs from big name teams.

Palko is #13 on Cirminiello's list:

13. QB Tyler Palko, Pittsburgh – Even more is expected of Palko in 2005 after last year’s 24-touchdown, 3,067-yard opening act.  He and Greg Lee form one of the most lethal pitch-and-catch combos in the country.

Unless something bad happens to Andre(injury, off field problem) he will be a first day pick in the NFL draft.  He will not win the Heisman because you have to have some preseason hype to make it but he will get votes before the end of the season.

Peter should be bombarded on that list.  What an idiot.  He has Jermarrio Thomas at #93, he has Wolfe of NIU at #52, and he has DeAngelo Williams at #9.  Funny, Andre Hall's stats were nearly identical to DW, and they were both first team All-Conference RB's.  Mind you Hall barily played against Tennessee Tech.  Had we started that game handing the ball off to Hall the kid would have had anothre 100 yard game and probably be a top 5 leading rusher.

I just can't believe that Hall, #9 rusher last year, and #8 all-purpose yards last year, and one of the top 5 in all categories returning is not on Fuitak's list, and for that matter how he's only 77 on Cirminiello's list.  The kid's going to play in a BCS conference and he will have plenty of showcase games.
