CJL is performing a a miracle turnaround at Colorado.

He is still young enough to get a head coaching gig.

I heard that he had been offered a HC job before becoming the DC at Co, but it wasn't one that he wanted. I don't know if that is true.

After this season, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him become a P5  HC.

Amazing that a good DC can turn a defense around in a season...safe to say CJL is a better DC than Allen.

But Allen's done a pretty good job at Indiana.

DC is a must upgrade after season...a top 25 defense and this is a top 15 team.

I'd be happy with a top 50 defense at this point

Perhaps Taggart can coax Wally B out of retirement.

If not him, how about the former head coach ( I don't remember his name) who Leavitt brought here for one year and then left for UF. I don't know if he is still coaching.

Dan McCarney. Should be available. Fired last year, mid season, from UNT after 4 1/2 years as HC.

Thanks for the name and the update on him. He was a real fire breather and no nonsense coach. Taggart should consider him for DC. The only problem is that he probably would be gone, if a better job came along. But, I guess that is the same with almost anyone we hired.
