I'd assumed they were shooting straight up to celebrate and were horrible shots, thus my pro-2nd chance comment

Would have to re-think it if they were aiming at anything in particular, especially if it was an occupied building

Per reports at the time, multiple shots hit the side of the dorm and took chunks out of the building, so if they were shooting straight up, they managed to bend the laws of physics. Also, one of his charges was "shooting into an occupied dwelling", so...

Wasn't one of the bullet holes only a couple of inches from a window as well?

Maybe it's a question of semantics re: what the meaning of "intentionally" is to you. To me, if you point a gun in the direction of something you know is there and pull the trigger of a loaded gun (multiple times, no less), you are intentionally shooting at something. It's not like they were in the woods and didn't realize there was a building behind trees they were shooting at. They were right next to the building, in the middle of a crowded area of campus that is filled with dorms that have people inside.

It's not a manner of semantics. If they were intentionally pointing a gun at a building and shooting, do whatever you want to to them. My scenario is if they just pulled the gun out of the trunk and started celebratory firing up in the air but didn't make sure they were clear of the building with the shots, ie careless and stupid ...... and like I said, I don't know the law out there but if just the act of firing the gun is an automatic lifetime banning from campus, I'm good with that.

A much more concise stating of where I'm coming from ...

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
