Our conference is so bad, much worse than the Big East.

Only good programs are Cincy, USF, UCF, Houston, Navy.

Well the BE had only three or four decent teams too. I think you have to include Memphis in there to ( although they probably get rolled tonight) .

Temple is also pretty good.  Despite this game ECU is still a solid team.  Really, the American is a good conference, and definitely better than the Big East was.

ECU's best player today has been Justin Holman.  If it was their other QB we'd be down by 30 right now it seems.

I hope this is the last game I see him on the field in the UCF uniform. He's a wet blanket for the team at the most important position

Memphis is arguably the second best team in the conference...

And the thing about the AAC this year is that we don't have a TERRIBLE team, but no GREAT teams outside of Houston. If you look on CBS 128 rankings, nobody is ranked 98 or worse. That is a first for the AAC. Tulane's only loss was to a 4-0 Wake Forest by a score of 7-3 and 3-0 Navy on a lucky break. And they are our second to worst team.

I think what you are referring to, is parity

I have decided that the American is definitely the best at having fans that are insanely delusional when it comes to their perception of their team and the conference versus what the rest of the sane world thinks.

The only way we could improve this mark would be if Southern Miss somehow joined the league.

That wasn't even roughing the passer, much less targeting.  But, it led to a touchdown so I guess its okay.  UCF is getting shafted all over this game but idc.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22
